A person’s character can be described by checking their habit and behaviour. Habits and behaviours have lots of differences. Behaviour refers to the actions of a living being or a system in response to the environment. It is the response of the system or the individual to various external impulsions. On the other hand, a habit can be stated as a routine of behaviour. It occurs when the routine is repeated regularly. An important feature of a habit is that it occurs unconsciously. While engaging in a habit one is not conscious of the routine of behaviour. This is the main difference between habit and behaviour.

It is interesting to note that habits are sometimes compulsory. Behaviour is said to be controlled by the endocrine system and the nervous system. Hence it is believed that the complexity in the nervous system would result in the complexity of the behaviour too.

Habit formation is the process by which behaviour becomes a habit. But a habit cannot become behaviour as of the fact that one is not aware of one’s habit. Behaviour on the other hand can be natural or learned from outside causes.

Behaviour is repeated by a person who is conscious of it whereas a habit is repeated by a person who is not conscious of it. This is one of the main differences between habit and behaviour. It is founded by the researchers that the automatic behaviour is unintentional. It is something related to habit in the sense that both are coincidental.

Behaviour is regarded as any action of an individual or a system that changes his or its relationship to his or its environment. Behaviour is the output from the individual or the system to the environment. On the other hand, habit is the input from the environment to the individual. Habits die hard goes the saying.

A person that does repeatedly certain things until it becomes automatic is Habits. While behaviour is the reaction of the system on the impulses around it, habit is the thing a person does repeatedly and subconsciously until it becomes a routine. This is the main difference between the two.

Habit and behaviour of a person are used in describing that person’s character. Even though there are lots of differences between habits and behaviours. The action of a living being or its system in response to the environment is referred to as behaviour. It is the response of the system or the individual to various external impulsions.

A habit is a routine of behaviour. It occurs when the routine is repeated regularly. Another thing of a habit is that it occurs unconsciously. When we are engaging in a habit we will not be conscious of the routine of behaviour. This is the main difference between habit and behaviour.

It is interesting to note that habits are sometimes compulsory. Behaviour is said to be controlled by the endocrine system and the nervous system. It is stated that the complexity in the nervous system might result in the complexity of the behaviour too.

The process by which behaviour becomes a habit can be said as a habit formation is. But a habit cannot become behaviour as of the fact that one is not conscious of one’s habit. Behaviour on the other hand can be innate or learned from outside sources.

Behaviour is repeated by a person who is aware of it whereas a habit is repeated by a person who is not aware of it. This is another main difference between habit and behaviour. There was a finding by the researchers that automatic behaviour is coincidental. Instinctive behaviour is something akin to habit in the sense that both are unintentional.

Any action of an individual or a system that changes his or its relationship to his or its environment is regarded as Behaviour. It is the output from the individual or the system to the environment. On the other hand, habit is the input from the environment to the individual. Habits die hard goes the saying.

Above all, “Habits are programs that operate in the background that power our lives. Good habits help us reach our goals more effectively and efficiently. Bad ones make things harder or prevent success entirely. Habits powerfully influence our automatic behaviour.”
